The Trip

Our long-time friend Michele was having a birthday so we decided to join them at their place in Palo Alto.  And since it was a few days after Kathleen's birthday, we made it a two-fer. We flew up and then traveled to various sights in the Bay Area.

For this trip, I used my new Sony Alpha 7R Mark III camera with Sony 24-70mm GM automatic zoom lens.   The camera/lens combination does an outstanding job, and it surely met my image quality expectations.

Conclusions and Advice to Travelers

The bay area is always fun, but the weather and traffic can be challenging.  Be sure to check for local road construction and alternate routes before traveling.  And, insure you have sufficient layers of clothes to handle the significant temperature swings that come with proximity to the ocean.

Many thanks to Jim and Michele for hosting us at their home.  And Happy Birthday Michele!
