I did
not take my camera with me the first night. But the second
day and evening provided more than enough photographic
opportunities. During the day it was very hot and we spent
most of the time in Kai's camper with the air conditioning on
getting drunk. But, as the afternoon rolled around, we had
to prepare for the parade.
The photos below are what we saw.
Some of
our group prepare for the vehicle parade.
The
minimog shows off it's prowess as a Wasteland Wonder.
Many
interesting characters.
Lots of
time was spent adding spikes.
Interesting
characters.
These
skulls were cool.
The War
Boys saddle up for the parade.
War Boys
with Thunder Sticks.
Almost
time for a lap of the dry lake.

fine ride.
Notice
the women strapped to the front of the vehicle.
A sand
rail with Thunder Sticks.
People
tied to spars on the front was a common theme; straight out of
the recent Mad Max movie.
Note the
exotic tire rippers.
The Ural
makes a lap.
This
fellow's vehicle is DOA having cut it's oil pan on a rock.
Note all the guys staring at the engine; she is oblivious.
A bra
made from saw blades, brave girl.
More
Wasteland Women.
Highly
modified Chevy C-10 Suburban.
The
group assembles at the main gate for a group photo.
This was
a very elaborate costume.
Sometimes,
a simple "less is more" theme works well.
Ground
photo.
Lord of
the Wasteland with his War Boys.
One of
the members of our group made an interesting propane-powerd camp
fire device.
This
fellow was forced into slavery.
Tim and
Kathleen.
Watching the action
at the Thunderdome.
Lord of the
Wasteland.
More ink than a
newspaper.
Oh yeah.
More Wasteland Women.
